Urban Conservation
Business 2009
Submitted by Browning Funeral Home
As time passed Browning Funeral Home’s business began to grow and they needed
to enlarge the parking facility. In considering this change Mrs. Browning was
delighted.
She loves flowers, plants, grass and nature—and she gave the staff her gardening
advice.
They brought in
knock out roses, mulch and grass. The green space probably is equal to
the space that is blacktopped for parking. With all the plants and grass
giving off oxygen
and cooling our environment—they created an environment that is eco-friendly.
These
areas are havens for birds that sing and enjoy the leaves and grassy areas.
Every year a
pair of mallard duck’s builds their nest in the mulch and soon, little mallards
appear.
The Browning
Family and Staff feel this area reflects beauty, adds peace and tranquility
to a busy intersection on the north side of town. Many compliments have come to
Browning
Funeral Home from neighbors, friends and passers-by who appreciate the
transformation
and change. As Browning believes to plant a tree, create a park, cultivate
flowers lifts our
spirits like a friendly smile.
